Conflicts over divorce and custody issues, whether pre or post decree can be stressful and costly. Taking the issues to a mediator can help resolve issues without expensive court proceedings. Mediation in a respectful neutral setting and facilitated by knowledgeable family law mediators can reduce conflict and wait time for a court date.
A two hour deposit is required from both parties seven days prior to mediation by money order, cash, or credit card. No personal checks will be accepted. Law Firm checks or credit cards are acceptable.
Parties are encouraged to provide relevant documents such as Sworn Financial Statements, pleadings, financial documents, or reports prior to mediation. Mediation can be held with or without the parties' attorneys, and accommodations can be made for individuals who need to meet in separate rooms due to restraining orders or for their own peace of mind.
Mediators can draft, by agreement of both parties, a Memorandum of Understanding at the successful conclusion of mediation. Certificates of Mediation are also provided. Drafting of any Parenting Plan or Separation Agreement, by request and agreement of the parties, is done at an additional hourly charge.
